This portable version of Rock 'n Roll Racing is based directly on the 1994 SNES and Genesis games of the same title. Players race one of five large-tired hotrods through seven winding tracks, viewed from an up-close isometric perspective. Winnings can go towards the purchase of vehicle upgrades. The game's edgy style is emphasized by forgiving physics, powerful vehicle weaponry, and an old-school rock soundtrack. Two players can race head-to-head in this version, using a GBA link cable connection. The original Rock 'n Roll Racing was created by Silicon Synapse, the company that evolved into powerhouse PC game developer Blizzard Entertainment. This 2003 GBA version is the second game to be published under the Blizzard Classic Arcade label.
