When CDC agent Meg Rainman finds her boyfriend dead of mysterious causes, she knows her adventure is just beginning. She takes over his position at a local lab and finds out that he and two other deceased colleagues were working with a program know as The Ring. When Meg accesses the program, she finds herself temporarily transported to another world a world of shadows, monsters, and pure evil. And that's just the tip of the iceberg: when she returns to the lab, she discovers a note that claims she'll be dead in seven days.
