In TOM CLANCY’S RAINBOW SIX: LOCKDOWN for PS2 by Ubisoft, Domingo Ding Chaves takes another mission to save the world. Players will navigate Ding and his team of soldiers through sixteen missions in an attempt to stop the GLF terrorist organization from releasing the virus. Missions will take the team to different parts of the globe, hunting down terrorists and saving hostages. In earlier levels of the game, players are notified of enemies and special items through pop up squares. As with any tactical mission game, players must strategically search territories and clear spaces of enemies. Players are in charge of a sniper, Dieter Weber, and in certain spaces, will be picking off enemies with the sniper before allowing the team to enter an area. This feature helps keep team members healthier, making the mission easier to complete. One interesting feature of this game is a sensor that allows players to be prepared in blind spots it picks up the heartbeat of the enemy and therefore, warns the players of the impending danger. The game features single and multiplayer modes. In two-player mode, the players work in cooperation with a split screen. TOM CLANCY’S RAINBOW SIX: LOCKDOWN follows in a long line of TOM CLANCY games, and fans will certainly be entranced with this version.
